Social work services is expected to be tabled throughout the following parliamentary session

PUTRAJAYA – The proposed Social Workers Act geared toward improving the quality of social work services is expected to be tabled throughout the following parliamentary session, said Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.

She said the ministry was gathering feedback from stakeholders and non-governmental organisations in drafting the bill.

PETALING JAYA – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the challenges for future leaders were to expand creativity and innovation beyond the area of entrepreneurship and business.

He said young Malaysians who can be the future leaders of tomorrow would like to noticeably look at inventive ways to unite the individuals of Malaysia, to form a positive economic and social environment for Malaysians to prosper.

“In different words, I wish all of you to go out and produce a higher future for Malaysia and for yourself,” he said in his speech at the Junior Chamber International Creative Young Entrepreneur Award (JCI CYEA) 2011 night here.

Naib said creativity was very important for someone if he or she needed to compete and reach the international market.

The winners of JCI CYEA 2011 were Global Green Synergy Sdn Bhd managing director (MD) Joseph Lim Heng Ee, Kian Classic Style Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Kenny Yap Kian Wee and Ban Lee Hin Engineering and Construction Sdn Bhd MD/Chairman Datuk Tony Looi Chee Hong.

Joseph Lim was additionally chosen to compete in the international stage, representing his business in the World JCI CYEA 201one to be held in Belgium this November 2011.

The JCI CYEA was launched in 2005 worldwide by JCI as their yearly programme.

27 men anti-vice team nabbed 65 foreign (GROs).

KUALA LUMPUR – In the Dang Wangi district police’s one-hour special operation here nowadays, its 27-men anti-vice team nabbed 65 foreign guest relation officers (GROs).
